First hoop jam of 2012: Sat. Jan. 7, 7-8:30pm @ Dovercourt

Spin in the new year: join us on a different night (for this week only) for 90 minutes of hoop fun. The jam is free, you can attend as much or as little as you like, we'll have hoops and music. 411 Dovercourt Ave, upstairs in the Assembly Hall. 

Also, Winter hoop classes at Dovercourt get underway this Sunday, and there is still space in most classes. All Levels Sundays 10am, Monday at noon, or Thursday at 7:45pm; Intermediate/ Advanced on Sunday at 11am. More info on the Calendar page, including course codes and registration details.

Registration is now open for Fall Classes; register online, by phone (613-798-8950 ext. 0) or in person. Classes begin Sep. 11 and run for 14 weeks.

Free bi-weekly Hoop Jams start Sep. 16, and continue on every second Friday. Note the new time: 7-8:30pm. Since our 'big room' (the Assembly Hall) is not available on Sep. 2, we will squeeze in one extra jam on Fri. Sep. 9th. We have hoops, music and a great space. Bring a friend, all are welcome. This is an unstructured practice time, though you can always ask for tips from the hoopers in attendance. If you are looking for progressive skill instruction, consider a class.

We'll be hoop jamming in some daylight, as our days lengthen and Spring teases us with glorious sunshine (ok, what was with that little mid-day snow flurry today??).

Our special weekend guest, Ann Humphreys (HoopPath), is planning to attend our jam if she arrives in time from NYC. We'll have hoops & tunes. And there is still space in Ann's Master Class on Sunday, 2-5pm at Dovercourt. It's looking to be a hoopy weekend for sure!

Hoop Jam across the pond

Our Ottawa hoop friend Alexandra recently moved to London, England for a work opportunity. Thanks to Facebook, she located some hoop groups and a hoop jam in Greenwich, not far from where she is staying. She sent a photo of this impressive space. Check out the gleaming floors, the enormous windows and the high ceilings!
