Hoop happenings: classes, jams & more!

Hoop Classes listed take place at Dovercourt Recreation Centre, 411 Dovercourt Ave, Ottawa. Visit www.dovercourt.org to see the Adult Fitness flyer for dates, times, course codes and fees and link to online registration. Classes are registered and run sessionally for Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer. Registration can be done online, by phone (613-798-8950) or in person at Dovercourt. Drop ins are permitted if space allows. Hoops are provided (or you may bring your own, or buy one from the instructor).

Registration is open for Winter hoop classes! Class info is listed in the Dovercourt Adult Flyer for winter (pdf).

Registration is now open for Winter Classes; register online, by phone (613-798-8950 ext. 0) or in person. Classes begin Jan. 8, 2012 and run until mid-April.

  • Sundays 10am (All Levels), 75136, $141 (13), Trish (no classes on Feb. 19 [Family Day weekend] or April 8 [Easter])
  • Sundays 11am (Intermediate/ Advanced), 75137, $141 (13), Trish (no classes on [Family Day weekend] or April 8 [Easter])
  • Mondays 12noon (All Levels), 75135, $130 (12), Trish (no classes Feb. 20 [Family Day] & March 12 [March Break]
  • Thursdays 7:45pm (All Levels), 75143, $152 (14), Trish

Classes in Gatineau with Brigitte:

All Level hoop classes in Gatineau (Hull)
École Secondaire de l'île, room la Palestre, Wednesday evening 7 to 8 p.m. Time to practice after class is available.
 
The sessions will be a series of 8 weeks classes, cost of $88 for each session (registration).  Drop in is $13 per class.

Hoop Jams

Hoop Jams occur twice each month on Friday nights. Summer jams will take place outside (locations will be listed in each entry); Fall, Winter & Spring jams happen in the comfort of the Assembly Hall at Dovercourt Recreation Centre, equipped with mirrors, low light, high ceilings and a kick-butt sound system. This is a great chance to meet other Ottawa area hoopers. Hoops are provided, and we often bring minis, twins and poi to try out.
