Hooping in the Ottawa/ Gatineau area

Sirenhoops is based in Ottawa, Ontario and is devoted to spreading the joy of hooping to a larger audience,  through custom hoop sales, hoop classes, workshops, and performances. We also host free bi-weekly hoop jams at Dovercourt Recreation Centre that are open to all ages and experience levels. Silver & Gold 'Viva' hoop

Sirenhoops sells hand-crafted professional hoops, customized to the desired size, weight, colour and finish. We can recommend sizes and weights for your hooping needs. Collapsible (helix-style) hoops are available, as well as minis, twins, children's hoops and performance polypro hoops. Larger orders for fitness facilities can also be accommodated. In addition to the classes we teach, we are avid students of hooping. We have attended Hoop Convergence 2009, 2010 & 2011 in North Carolina (a great gathering of hoop-minded individuals), HoopPath workshops with Jonathan Baxter & Brecken Rivera in Montreal in Spring 2010, as well as the great lineup of workshops from this past year at Dovercourt Recreation Centre including Rich & Spiral in Oct. 2010, Nick Woolsey in Dec. 2010, Beka in January 2011, and Shannon Wall in March 2011.

Why "Siren"?

We like the word! It suggests alluring water sirens, enticing people with their calls & movements. A siren as a sound is hard to ignore: people stand up and take notice! When we each encountered hooping we felt drawn to it, compelled to pursue the movement, beauty & flow of the hoop. Whether you find it fun, energizing, hypnotic or irresistable, we hope you will share our joy.
